Autumn Trees

Sheila Fox came to Rosetta Life with a very clear project idea. She intended to compile a book of photographs depicting Autumn light in Autumn trees, accompanied by text. She wanted to dedicate this book to her son, Simon, who had died suddenly in October 2002. Sheila went ahead and took a wide range of colour photographs on a 35mm camera. She selected seven images ("one for each day of the week"), six of which she scanned and then manipulated in Photoshop to bring out the quality of light she desired. Sheila died before she had finished the final image, written the text, and produced her book. However, her husband Jack and their three daughters completed the project for her by writing the text.
