I look forward to and enjoy my creative writing class
because it helps me to turn away from thinking about my
health and everyday problems.
I did go to writing classes for a time through University of
the 3rd Age and enjoyed them but I struggled to get there
and waiting for buses in the rain or during cold winter
months started to become a bit of health hazard and the
tutors cannot give you the extra help on "off" days that I
get from Lucinda at Marie Curie Centre Edenhall. At
Edenhall we sometimes do relaxation together that soothes
the mind and I also get a great deal of encouragement with
my work. Lucinda explains things about poetry that I find
difficult and helps me over really 'bad hair days', those
when I really feel I am on 'death row'.
