Schooldays

Cy is a writer and wordsmith, who was initially keen to record her experiences of life and her faith in poetry.

Schooldays was written as a short monologue by Cy. She then invited her two grandchildren, Tessa and Caitlin to contribute to the piece. Together the three of them created this voice piece.
The piece was inspired by Cy’s recollections of the fears she experienced at school. Her grandchildren experience comparatively little fear of school exams or tests but more peer pressure on personality and sociability. The fears many of us experience today about our invisibility, whether in the playground or at work, are minimal for Cy, who welcomes invisibility on this earth and the experience of rebirth and renewal in a new world. Together the three of them recorded a short piece exploring these comparative experiences.
