Tolpuddle

Where be I to?

Where be I to?
River Piddle: ducks flying over the meadow
Being able to hear the blue sky,
Cold ice, soft flowers
Listening to the frost not the traffic...

Where be I to?
January 28 2004
Windows cracking: first blizzard I can remember
Sharp in my nose when I breathe in
Log fire my sister's just lit

Where be I to?
Climbing frame: my sister and family
When we were little girls
A long walk but fun when we got there
Picking up wood to light the fire

Where be I to?
Rough wood: green movement in the trees
Arms coming out from the branches
Spring bright yellow like the zest
of lemons and limes

Where be I to?
In the heart of Dorset
A village called Tolpuddle
So many generations
That's where I be to.
