The Senses Project

The Senses Project features short films produced in fifteen hospices and hospitals across England, where Rosetta Life artists worked in collaboration with hospice users capturing the stories of their sensory experiences.

The heightened sensorial awareness of those facing the end of life was the inspiration for this site that was designed and built in 2004 in partnership between Rosetta Life and I-DAT, the Institute of Digital Arts and Technology at the University of Plymouth.

It grew out of conversations held in Hospice Day Centres that seemed to share a hunger for life, a thirst for sensory experience known by those who are facing the end of their lives.
