The Cox and the Swain

This is the story of Amrita and Alavi Mohamed, of two young people who defied family and convention to set up a life together.
Having met in Colombo, Sri Lanka, they came over to London to establish a home here. Now, 39 years, two children and three grandchildren later, they are as close and happy now as they were all those years ago.
Alavi and Amarita at the Colombo Rowing Club, way back in 1963, two people thrown together and united in the common love of sport, namely rowing.
This is dedicated to their children and grandchildren, as a momento of their early life.
