My Special Place
When the trials of life get too much for me to bear
When I sit between four walls and stare.
Now I know a secret place where I can go!
That not many other people know?
Where I can slowly unwind
Away from the daily grind
It’s so peaceful, a heavenly place
When I’m there I drift into outer space
I leave the rest of the world behind
And I grab a piece of ‘my time’
Whilst there, my mind becomes a blank
This Isfield Angling Club I wish to thank
As I sit beside this beautiful lake
The Monastery Lake at Crawley Down
My thoughts now, in the present, and the past
Happy times all of them locked in my brain
Happy memories last and last always
In my special place
In my secret world
They all remain forever
