'The Chapel' by Michael Spencer

Michael was a keen amateur photographer who enjoyed going out and capturing the local area as well as re-photographing images from books and magazines. He would create themed photomontages from the prints, juxtaposing a variety of differently scaled images with a fantastic effect.

Michael was finding it difficult to continue with his hobby but wanted to produce a montage of the chapel at St Barnabas to give to the day hospice as a gift. By collaborating with Victoria (Artist in Residence) he was able to capture some of the unique elements of the chapel which particularly appealed to him and create the image above.
