Building on the success of Stroke Odysseys, Derry, and with the support of King’s Cultural Institute and in partnership with The Place, London’s leading centre for contemporary dance, and composer Orlando Gough, Rosetta Life are developing Stroke Odysseys for the stroke community of London. The project will lead to public performances of a new musical and dance work made in collaboration those living with stroke. Based on the experience of stroke patients and the work of stroke researchers and clinician, the project will evolve through 2014/5 in a series of creative research workshops for patients, carers, clinicians, researchers, musicians, dancers and lyricists. Our aim is work towards an evaluated model for creative intervention in stroke rehabilitation that well be embedded in NHS stroke care.
